CLEAR: “Certainty Level Evaluation in Amyloidosis Reporting”

A Survey for Medical Professionals

The aim of our study is to explore and address the challenges faced by medical professionals in the diagnosis and reporting of amyloidosis.

Currently, the available diagnostic techniques are often not precise enough to determine the exact type of amyloid present. This uncertainty is frequently reflected in pathology reports. Pathologists may indicate their level of certainty about the type of amyloid identified, but the degree of this uncertainty is not always easy to communicate. As a result, clinicians may struggle to interpret the pathologist's level of confidence in the diagnosis, leading to potential challenges in patient management.

We are conducting a survey to better understand these issues. Our goal is to map out the specific difficulties that both pathologists and clinicians encounter when diagnosing amyloidosis and interpreting pathology reports.

Together, we can work towards clearer, more accurate reporting, ultimately leading to better patient care.
